B168: Petals of Flame

This piece was inspired by the Etsy Beadweaver's April Challenge: Fire and Flowers.

The vision came quickly - using the candleflame shape and colors to create the petals of a flower. The realization of that vision took over 30 hours and many thousands of beads.

There are 12 flame colored petals created using a modified russian leaf pattern. These are attached to peyote cuff that transitions through the fire colors used in the flower, with a sprinkling of black and grey - for the smoke and ash of a fire.
